Astrum celebrates the 110 wonders of the the messier Catalog, published in late 18th century by the French astronomer Charles Messier.
Messier was a comet hunter: his Catalog listed those astral objects he observed not being comets.
Each art piece is made from an image selected from
astrobin.com, the main community of amateur astrophotographers, and a music score generated by the background star field.
The objects have been as well permanently stamped as unique NFTs that can be purchased at
opensea.io/collection/astrumnft.
Collecting a piece of this work will directly support the amateur community who shared with us these fantastic images.
The profit will be split between the photographer (50%), Inner Space (40%) and Astrobin (10%).
The non signed items are made available for the Bandcamp fans and followers as well, who can either just "listen to" the astronomic objects and drift into the limitless space, or watch the sequence of videos in awe.
And now....
"How many times have you looked at the night sky and lost the sense of direction? Hidden in its darkness, aesthetic jewels wait to be discovered.
The telescope is a time machine. By looking through its mirrors and lenses, you can travel thousand, million, billion years into the past, to a time when stars and galaxies form and shine, overcoming entropy before eventually surrendering to it.
These marvels of beauty would never exist if any constant of nature would drift an unfathomably small fraction from its known value... Yet they are, in a dance of raging energy and delicate grace.
Join us for these short meditations of awe and wonder."
